TCS Response Ltd recently completed a substantial refurbishment and fit out project at Kilmaurs Primary School, East Ayrshire. Works began in 2022 and was part of a £300k phased program to avoid major disruption to pupils and staff. The second stage of the project began in the summer of 2022 and involved a full strip out and refurbishment of the upper level including the Staff Room, Deputy Head Teacher Office, Head Teacher Office, Toilets and Corridor. The school had not been renovated in a number of years with some of the current interior looking dated and no longer fit for purpose.
As part of East Ayrshire Council’s Children and Young People’s Plan 2020-23, improving the wellbeing of young people in the area is of the utmost importance. High quality education facilities will assist the local authority in meeting these objectives including helping children and young people to achieve, respecting and promoting their rights and keeping them safe. This renovation will also play a pivotal role in enhancing the learning environment for pupils who have recently missed out on a large chunk of their education. It is important not to forget about the teachers and staff who play a critical part in supporting pupils through their education journey. In order for them to work to the best of their ability it also important for them to have working environment which meets their requirements and promotes productivity.
TCS Response Ltd are delighted with the results and pleased to have worked closely with East Ayrshire Council and their various project teams once again on another essential refurbishment project in the local area. We recognise the importance of giving children and young people the best possible start in life and are glad to be able to assist in these efforts.
