TCS Response Ltd had a busy summer in 2022 with a number of refurbishment projects in a various education facilities throughout Ayrshire. One such project was in Nether Robertland Primary School in Stewarton. The town on the outskirts of Kilmarnock in East Ayrshire has been expanding rapidly in recent years due to a number of new housing developments in the area. New housing means greater demand on resources which includes local schools.
As part of a phased upgrade, Nether Robertland School were looking to upgrade a communal area within the school at a cost of around £200k which included the installation of a new kitchen area.
The works commenced in the summer of 2022 and initially involved a full strip out of the current space in preparation for the upgrade works beginning. The refurbishment included the installation of new doors, sinks, drawer fronts and pin boards modernising the space throughout. The second stage of the works involved decoration and flooring with the installation of hygienic and cost effective white rock walls. This gives the space a bright and clean feel enhancing the space for both pupils and staff and also allows for easy maintenance and cleaning.
TCS Response Ltd have been working with East Ayrshire Council for a number of months assisting them in meeting the targets of their Children and Young People Plan. The aim of this initiative is to improve education facilities for young people across Ayrshire giving them the best possible start in life. We recognise the importance of this plan and are delighted that we are having a positive impact on the lives of pupils across the region. TCS Response Ltd would like to once again thank East Ayrshire Council and their various project teams for their professionalism and efforts throughout the 8 week project and we look forward to continuing this strong working relationship in the months and years to come.
